The problem which I have is: I use tow different machine one in work and the other in home. I managed to copy my RSS feeds in both of machines but every day I need to check which post I read in home and which I read in office. The thing get worse in the weekends when I can not update the RSS feeds in office machine for two days. I get big numbers of post which I do not know if I read it or not.
The solution is some thing like web service to sync you feeds between different Akregator machines or even with firefox NewsFox plugin.

Now this feature would be a lifesaver for me.

Dunno about you guys but I just find reader.google.com awesome. I also use gmail with it's web interface.
Some things are just better left 'in the cloud' or browser

I do like any web application. I like akregator more. |

It lacks social features (as like/comments/share) as far as I recall which makes it less fun and it's usually easier to subscribe to websites when you're using a web application. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The point is that some people prefer desktop apps more - and for those people this idea is a very useful addition. I prefer Akregator due to its integration with the rest of my PIM and the desktop.

I agree on that but I do not need them. I need an icon in system tray tell me when there is a new feeds. That is it! |

Maybe akregator can somehow sync with google reader? I haven't tried it as I prefer web interface.

As I can see, FeedDemon already supports this option, and this means that such synchronization is possible.

I don't understand - feeddemon (from what Google tells me) does not even run on Linux.

I'm sorry, I didn't explained clearly.
I mean that synchronization of RSS is possible and it could be build on the Google Reader service, as FeedDemon already does. I don't mean that we should use FeedDemon. |
