i always like the idea of using all in one suites which are slick.
kontact in kde 4.4.2 has been quite that, but though being a suite it doesnt translate at system tray and the way it handles other components. 1.make a unified kontact tray icon 2."similar to ubuntus unified mail icon in lucid" 3.clicking on systray icon should reveal more info on every component of kontact mails,rss feeds,calender,to-dos,etc.. 4.ability to reload the feeds and check mail from systray. **updated one pic** 4th comment

This should be easier with akonadi.

I vote this up, really good idea!
The tray icon also should be ported to the new system tray icon spec, it's the only KDE SC program that doesn't have the new spec yet. |

Once again, it will most likely be obseleted by akonadi, so there wasn't really much point porting.
