i am getting used to it and therefore.. if "nothing happens"... i am looking at the taskbar for some auth window or something like that where the system needs my interaction to proceed...

it happens much too often and when i am looking over my fathers shoulders i often see him waiting for the system to finish - not realizing that his userpassword is needed or that the tiny "finished" window popped up 5mins ago... :(

I always set a KWin rule for Kwallet to be placed top of all others, steal the focus and be center of the screen. This way there is no problems when user is waiting something to happend and then usually program gets timeout (network connection) and you need to entry a other password (Email account/IM account) after Kwallet because program timeoutted it.

That is a good way to get what wanted but it is not default. KDE should do it as default function and it can not be trusted for distributors to be doing.
