Common Animations

Sun May 09, 2010 5:50 pm
It's bugged me for a while that KPresenter doesn't have effects on the text, and not much in the way of slide to slide animations either. But it hit me today, that most of the animations I would want have been available for my windows in KDE for quite some time now.

Correct me if this is how it works already (I'm no developer by any means), but there should be a common animation library so that one can easily code, say, a fading animation, and once installed, have it available for not just Kwin, or just KPresenter, but any app that needs to use an animation, all based off of the same animation files. These could be hosted on a site such as KDE-Look as just "animations" and be plugins that work wherever the animation is needed.

I apologize in advance if I have misused the word library or any other fancy developer terms :)
