When you minimize a window, it will retain its current virtual desktop; Later on, when restored or maximized, it will switch you back to the desktop it was minimized from.

This idea allows the option for users to allow a minimized window to restore windows to the active desktop, and not it's originating desktop.

Example: Without option:

I have Dolphin minimized on Desktop A, and I move to Desktop B, if I restore Dolphin I will be forcefully moved back to Desktop A, even if I only wanted Dolphin for a moment.

Example: With option:

I have Dolphin minimized on Desktop A, and I move to Desktop B. Should I restore Dolphin, it will switch Dolphin to Desktop B before restoring, keeping me on Desktop B.

Potentially, this behavior could be augmented by moving the window back to Desktop A if it is minimized before the user changes desktops - not breaking any organization the user has created. So if I only call up Dolphin for a brief moment, it would remain on Desktop A.

Reformed lurker.
