This idea is focused towards changes/improvement in filelight (http://www.methylblue.com/filelight/)

Instead of the ring chart of _directories_ make the ringchart to have _years_, _months_, days.

For the _casual_ user who wants to occasionally view some files by timeline.

Disclaimer: This is a simple interface for those who do not need the "all of power" of Nepomuk (yet).

I've never seen this program before, but why isn't this a plasmoid yet?

You can make the standard folder tree view like now and also different view for file type, time line, Nepomuk Informations, individual views for stars and so on. I'd really like the idea, is it possible to use some file information for the group function?

Also for the timeline view you can integrate a archive extension. All files how are older than 5 Years were ziped or .jpg pictures are compressed with 75%.
