Many of us find very useful to use the mouse wheel on the background or on the pager to switch virtual desktop.
Since I started using more and more plasma activities, I think it would be useful if we could use the mouse wheel on the cashew to switch activity, instead of wasting space adding one more plasmoid to our desktop.

Since in some configurations you can see the name of the current activity on the cashew, it seems quite natural using it to switch activity.
But the current way to do this, zooming out and zooming in, while nice and clear for the new user, it's slow for the experienced user that just want to switch activity to check a couple of things.

Even more: we could have an even stronger feel of integration. As the background and the pager are in relation with virtual desktops, so the cashew and the activity bar plasmoid are in relation with the activities.
So the same action (using the mouse wheel) that works on the pager or on the background for virtual desktops, should work also for activities, when applied on the activity bar plasmoid (as it does right now) as like with the cashew.
