Inject some life into places - colourful directories

My idea is simple.
When we add a folder (let's take remotes as an example) to places we're dependent on the same blue colour icon with a globe. It's so boring with many remotes! Places are important because they're system-wide. So let's add some colours to them! Let users decide what colour they want. Take a look at my mockup:
