The right click desktop menu really seems huge and some of the entries just dont seem to belong there (by default anyway) like: lock screen and leave (they already appear in the start menu and taskbar anyway); further more I don't know why the open with dolphin needs to be there by default. And why is there a refresh desktop command? Can't kde handle this automatically? Then there are also the keyboard shortcuts, which make the right click menu seem really more wide and cluttered even. People that use the right click menu are not really the people that use keyboard shortcuts anyway.

Agreed... I keep accidentally locking my desktop instead of unlocking my widgets.

are you running 4.4 or 4.5?
I can state that in 4.6svn it's run command add widgets add panel activities lock widget ------------------ lock widgets lock screen leave ------------------ desktop settings don't remember what is was in earlier iterations but I have no refresh or dolphin entries the short cuts aren't necessarily there so you'll use them when you right click but maybe so you'll know they exist and you don't need to right click |
