KDE menu shows a lot of items I (and I guess most of you) rarely click on: all development stuff (cmake, qt interface designer, document browser and translation tool, openjdk tools...), avahi ssh server browser, avahi vnc server browser, avahi zeroconf browser, KRandRTray, akonadi tray utility, clipboard tool, ark (I always run it by clicking an archive from file manager), etc. Some of them are placed in different submenus as well, like Okular (Graphics and Office).
I think it's a good idea to let the users hide/unhide items and/or submenus in an easy way through kmenuedit or any other specific tool so they can have a clean menu that fit their needs. An example: I hope you find this idea useful. |

There is a menu editor, but you cannot use it to hide entries.

So what you are saying is that there is no way of hiding items from the menu?
