I keep finding myself trying to drag widgets I find on GHNS straight onto my desktop. I think it would be intuitive if you could drag a widget from GHNS to your desktop. A placeholder then appears on your desktop as a plasmoid that shows "Installing

What happens when the download fails?

Then you end up with a dead place-holder widget (perhaps with some information about why the download/install failed) with the options to retry download or delete the widget.
This would definitely simplify installing new widgets as you can just go through GHNS and pull the widgets directly onto your desktop - saving you the time it takes to then go searching for the widget a second time in your local widgets.
