Drag widgest from GHNS to desktop

anoneemouse Registered Member Posts 123 Karma 0 OS	Drag widgest from GHNS to desktop Sun Aug 22, 2010 10:47 pm I keep finding myself trying to drag widgets I find on GHNS straight onto my desktop. I think it would be intuitive if you could drag a widget from GHNS to your desktop. A placeholder then appears on your desktop as a plasmoid that shows "Installing widget" with a progress bar underneath. When the download finishes the widget is automatically displayed.

This would definitely simplify installing new widgets as you can just go through GHNS and pull the widgets directly onto your desktop - saving you the time it takes to then go searching for the widget a second time in your local widgets. airdrik, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Dec.
