Windows 7 fades to the next wallpaper when you select it or when the time proceeds to the next wallpaper. Please allow a transition between current and next wallpaper in the wallpaper slideshow activity. It could be enhanced further by allowing different types of transitions like slide up or blend.

Definitly possible in some way. Plasma fades the background picture if screen resolution changes. Especially visible in Virtualbox where screen resolution adapts to the virtual box window. If you resize the window, the background picture will fade to the new size/orientation.

This idea was implemented possibly without the knowledge of this post. Can someone change it to done?
