New tab in a desktop window

Wed Aug 25, 2010 3:01 pm
Kwin has great tab functionality, but what I miss is a '+' button in the title bar to open a new tab (next to minimize, maximize and close). Most browsers have this functionality and adding this button the desktop tabs would be more used.

Example: When an user opens a new tab with the '+' button he gets an empty page. On this page there is a Krunner bar (instead of an address bar) to open an app in the current tab.

Also some additional information can be provided in the empty page like uptime of the window, pid and some details about every tab. When another separate window is dragged to the empty space, this will become the new tab (both windows merges like 'move to window group' does)
