Hi,

Emacs offers a lot of ways to archive, sort and retrieve information¹. Most of this information is stored in simple text files², so it shouldnt be too hard to write an akonadi backend which allows all KDE programs to access my emacs notes and ideally also write to them.

Emacs org-mode can do todo-lists, store info nuggets and ideas, tag and search information and much more. Integrating it with KDE would open up the piles of information of org-mode users for all of KDE, and the quick tagging of ideas and stuff like org-remember could be a nice step towards integrating emacs knowledge with desktop knowledge.

The next step would then naturally be to write an emacs frontend for akonadi, so the integration goes both ways :)

Did this ever happen? Zanshin now let's you to access it from plasma desktop with todo : xyz being typed in to krunner, and notes integrated into kmail and korganiser! It would be amazing to integrate into the org capture mode and even another cross platform email client like owncloud ideally and thunderbird. Any thoughts? Could this be a request?
