imho it would be nice if dolphin prefer the cover in the container and just ask the imdb if there is no cover. Hard-working people like me put a picture in the container file like it is described here: http://www.matroska.org/technical/cover_art/index.html

In the end you are looking for a way to automatically set an icon for a file, depending on some criteria, isn't it?

Having a way to set an icon manually (for a file, not a folder) seems to be more "doable" IMHO, and might be good enough for many people.

Somebody should create cover sharing specification. It will made possible to share cover with Amarok. Also, context menu option download cover for this file could been added.


I don't mind file browser should do internet data transfer automatically.
