The clock plasmoid (analog as well as digital) is one of the most used plasmoids. Actually a digital clock is one of the default plasmoids.

But I think many of the users are placing an analog clock on the desktop as well.
So do I: I big analog clock on the center of the screen.

Tooltips and click actions (display of calendar popup) are of no real use for this purpose ... actually, they are annoying. The clock should stay solid at the top of the wallpaper whithout any action besides moving the clock hands arround ;-)

On the other hand: Tooltips and click actions of the clock may be enhanced:

- Do nothing (see my first suggestion)
- Show some time relating informations, like a Calendar (currently the solely action), Countdowns, ...
- Start an application: new event in Organizer, Start/Stop a timer, Task/Projectmanagement, ...
- Switch between time zones
- ...

Alot possibilities, not all will be useful, but the power of the clock plasmoids can be much more enhanced.
