Integrate usb_modeswitch with the Device Manager. mockup If vid and pid of the USB device are in /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/ or ~/.config/kusb_modeswitch/list/; Device Manager allows to switch the USB device. Should be a script[imho writen in bash] that will check if there are devices that can switch and also switches the device.
Device Manager only run scripts. Standard list delivered with usb_modeswitch

This also can be done with device actions.

It really works, except that before an action can not check the vid and pid.
