Integrate usb_modeswitch with the Device Manager.

mockup
Image

If vid and pid of the USB device are in /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/ or ~/.config/kusb_modeswitch/list/; Device Manager allows to switch the USB device.

Should be a script[imho writen in bash] that will check if there are devices that can switch and also switches the device.
Code: Select all
$ kusb_modeswitch check<br /># kusb_modeswitch switch vid:pid

Device Manager only run scripts.

Standard list delivered with usb_modeswitch
Code: Select all
# usb_modeswitch -c /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/vid:pid

User list
Code: Select all
# usb_modeswitch -c /home/user/.config/kusb_modeswitch/list/vid:pid

This also can be done with device actions.

connect(post, SIGNAL(readSignature()), qapp, SLOT(quit()));

It really works, except that before an action can not check the vid and pid.
