nerdopolis Registered Member Posts 132 Karma 0 OS	Kwin could use a key command to leave hung fullscreen window Fri Oct 22, 2010 2:59 am As far as I can tell, this feature does not exist, I even tried alt-tab, and alt-F3, and it did not work as far as getting back to my desktop. I could be missing a check box... Anyway the idea is that KWin could use a key command that minimizes a full screen window that belongs to an application that hung, to allow the user to return to the desktop. AFAIK the only way out, is to reset the X server. AFAIK. (or go into a VTY, log in and kill the app) I don't know how possible this is, because I don't know if Kwin is intentionally dropping alt-tab support for full screen windows, or if its a deeper issue.

Maybe I should mention that this on full screen apps like supertuxkart, or supertux, not apps like firefox when you hit F11, or Kstart when you hit ctrl-shift-f

Then again, it could be set to block those key commands for full screen windows on purpose... What do you think? EDIT: This is in full screen games, not full screen KDE apps or full screen Firefox...
