Wouldn't it be nice if kdebluetooth or bluedevil could automatically disable bluetooth on our laptop/netbook/smartphone/whatever after a (configurable) time of inactivity?

This way we could save a lot of power on our devices.
(Or at least I could save a lot of battery time on my MacBook Pro, since it seems that bluetooth is using a lot of power... or is everything else that is consuming less? Don't know, but when I leave bluetooth deactivated my laptop batteries lasts a lot more...)

Say, you activated bluetooth on your laptop to get some shots taken with your smartphone, and forgot to switch it off. It is sucking power for nothing. But KDE bluetooth daemon sees that you haven't used bluetooth for a while, and shuts it off dropping you a notification.

This way you know that it's switched off.
Next time you need bluetooth, you can just go to the notification area and just switch it on.

I think this feature should be configurable by the user, so one can decide if she/he wants bluetooth to be switched off after just 5 minutes or half an hour, or to keep it always on, unless manually switched off (even if I can't figure any user case where you wanto to keep it always on...)

What do you think about this idea?
