I always use Drag&Drop to move item between directories.
I also using directories called for example Backups, where I store my backups.

Allowing to associate actions/services with a directory can speedup many task, like making backup. Today I compress a directory/files and them drag compressed archive onto backup directory. It's a little waste of time - could I ask you to add possibility to configure Drag&Drop menu for selected directories, which present when some content are dragged on it?

It could been used in many other ways, like scanning for viruses/decompressing for ~/bin directory, sending file dragged/copied on some directory via e-mail, etc(for example link/copy here and send to Patric associated with Patric directory).

Way to use this mechanism is far more.

I think a more flexible approach would be to modify the task scheduler to also allow for executing commands on changes to particular directories (that is, support incron).

@TheBlackCat:
I don't understand your idea.
Task Scheluder is a CPU scheluder in kernel?

My idea is to allow use D&D to perform some actions automatically, when moved onto directory

Task scheduler allows you to set particular actions to happen at particular times (or after particular time intervals, or repeat at a certain frequency). However, it is also possible to schedule tasks to happen when changes occur in a particular file or directory. KDE does not have a user interface for this.

Ok. Thanks for explanation.

Also KJobs should been integrated with task scheduler.
