Greetings !
I just discovered a wonderfull webapp named SoundCloud (http://soundcloud.com/): it's a fantastic place where you can listen and send sound with an unlimited space limit, and a very nice and full featured interface allowing you to comment music while listening it, and users to see the comments at the time of the track you wrote it... It's very nice. Now you can make your own mind, so maybe someone knowing how to do such stuff and enjoying SoundCloud will make an Amarok plugin for it ! |

Sounds like a _massive_ amount of work, as well as being integrated to a non open-source (thus prone to being dependent on a single organisation) website. I'm giving a thumbs down on this one.

I think it would be fine for a third-party plugin.

I doubt anyone will do anything in Amarok for this, their attitude seems to be if you want it write it yourself, they seem somewhat bizarrely uninterested in user input/requests.
You could try Nightingale which is a sort of web/desktop mashup & looks promising, but still in early stages of development http://getnightingale.com/ |

Hi,
I'm not an Amarok developer and even not a JavaScript developer. But I made a SoundCloud script for Amarok (in a few hours - the work wasn't as massive as mentioned). Maybe the initial version is not as perfect as it could be, but it is working. You can find it on Github: https://github.com/sperner/SoundCloud4Amarok Easy listening |

Nice job It’d be great if you would also submit it to kde-apps.org so Amarok users can install it directly from the program.
It's time to prod some serious buttock!
