The idea is to show in the digital clocks calendar (clic on the clock in the bottom right) events from korganizer.
I think it like the local holidays option (a coloured square) and when we passe the mouse over, a toolitip will show the events. This would be usefull for two reasons 1. With simple clic we can have access to the calendar 2. When we look at the calendar (in the right bottom) we dont miss any event. Imagine that you clic on the calendar to see the coming holidays dates, and you dont see the date of something important that you have entered in the korganizer calendar. |

in KDE 4.5, I could see my calendar events in the clock calendar, dates with events were marked with a dark boarder, and the event data would show in the dates tooltip.
There is a bug report for the regression here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264637 |

I never did recall the plasma calendar showing anything but holidays, are you sure about this? Because even the 4.5 announcement doesn't mention it at all http://kde.org/announcements/4.5/plasma.php
