XRandR provides the following options, which KRandRtray (and it's corresponding KCM module) do not:

1) scaling mode (None, Full, Center, Full aspect): this is very important to me, since I happen to run from time to time some old games, which I'd like to scale with "full aspect" instead of "full" which does not preserve the aspect ratio
2) dithering (Off, On, Automatic)
3) bonus: show the physical size of the display (I don't know if this is relevant for beamers)

I know this more of a feature request than an idea. If needed please, remove it and I'll post it where appropriate.
