In most companies you are required to lock your screen if you leave your office.
KDE's screen locker triggers the screen saver which is okay but what about this idea: You have an alternative screen locker (i.e. an option to choose between “Current screensaver” and this one) that displays a background image (company logo?) and has the unlock prompt visible all the time. So you don't end up with a blank screen and need to move your mouse or something but you just leave your screen with the company's logo (which will look nice if you have all the screens with your logo) and the prompt there right away, like Windows (yeah yeah blabla) Professionals have. And after some time, of course, the screen will eventually go standby, so this should be okay to have a nonchanging picture there. (Seems that this Brainstorming forum does not support/allow quotation marks in texts o.O this why those weird question marks are there) |

i've always wished the login prompt would just be there, but, never realized it.
That second or so between sitting down and typing is so annoying. |
