I would like to see something like unread view in Kmail that just shows every unread messages from all/selected accounts/folders. Opera's mail client uses it and if you work with 3+ email accounts then this is very convenient.

From Opera's site:

Unread view

Say goodbye to the old-fashioned inbox. Opera Mail replaces it with a view that shows all your unread messages. This is a useful way of collecting all messages you have not read yet. Once you have read a message, mark it as read and it will disappear from view. It remains in the Received view for you to access later, and also in any other relevant views or labels. Think of your Unread view as an email "to do" list.

Does it really take five days to evaluate this idea?

Can't you do this be creating and saving a search or filter in Kmail (don't use so don't actually know)? This is an illustration of how filters work http://maketecheasier.com/how-to-create ... 2010/01/11

Having suggested the above solution I must concur that the predefined "All Messages" folder in Opera mail with the sub folders unread, received, sent, etc .... is awesome and much more user/noobie friendly and should be included in all mail clients - you have my vote once it gets approved.
