Working with KMail and using the threaded message view a lot, I would love to be able to tweak the threading.

I often get multiple mails relating to the same topic in sequence. As they're not replies to a common email, they appear as separate messages. I would like to introduce a meta message or a fake empty message and put those two emails under there as if they were replies.

At other times, a person will reply to a message from an existing thread without using the proper reply buttons, they can also change the subject - I would like to be able to put that message back into the thread it belongs to.

As I am using IMAP on multiple computers, the ideal solution for me would be for KMail (or Akonadi I suppose) to alter the message's meta data on the server so I could fix the threading only once and get the same state on all my machines.
