I like the idea of micropayments like Flattr as any other bloke, but the problem is that you can usually click on the Flattr or "donate" button only in the browser. Which in turn is the reason why I don't click nearly as often as I would like to.
What I propose is that we integrate ways to donate to content directly into the apps or environments where we get or use such content. I've already thought of a few use cases of which KDE applications could benefit from it ...or rather via which applications the authors of the contents could benefit:
It's time to prod some serious buttock!

I like the idea.
There should be some kind of framework, like GHNS, to let people donate as easier as possible, just when using applications. First time you click on a donation button, menu, whatever, you should be able to create a "KDE donation" account, to use from now on to donate to developers. Next time you want to donate, you click the button, identify yourself and just say how much money you want to give. Nothing more. Nothing obtrusive. It should be available everywhere, just like the Help button/menu. It also should be integrated in the bug tracker, so one can create micro-bounties for annoying bugs. Maybe a small part of the donation should also go to a found for smaller or less visible projects (like libraries), to help develop them.
