Network Plasmoid and proxy settings

Fri Oct 14, 2011 3:32 pm
I use the network plasmoid intensely to connect to the different networks I need to connect when roaming around in clients.

The problem is the proxy settings that I need to change separately from the connection parameters.

Would it be possible to add a PROXY settings also to the network configuration, so when I choose network configuration A I would get proxy PA configured, and when I choose configuration B I would get proxy PB configured.

Great idea, but I think it would require Network Manager changes. Nevertheless, if it supports VPN and PPPoE, than why not proxy? :)

This is such a great idea. The only thing that is needed is to move the proxy tab from network settings to a tab in network connections and make it per-connection. It can be done completely in kde without even touching the network manager.

Exactly, proxy settings are associated to network connections, not settings.
