Let application toolbars be accesible through other devices

Complex programs like photo editors, might benefit from an interface that can be presented on an ipad / anroid tablet. A web interface for the toolbars active program and maybe the notification might be a pretty easy and extendible solution.
To go even further with this idea, it might also be nice to let the user compose its own toolbar pages per application. |

This idea needs to be a bit more fleshed out before it can be approved. Are you essentially referring to a remote control via tablet/mobile to your desktop running the app?
