Currently the KDE run application offers the standard calculator app in the "run command/bar" plugins. I'd like to see Qalculate or something like it either in addition to or as a replacement for (preferred) the standard calculator. Qalculate is significantly more powerful in that it can solve full equations and if you have to type the expression in anyway to have calculator resolve it in the run command/bar then why not use Qalculate instead. From a usage standpoint i can see virtually no downside.
For clarification (because I'm not sure "run command/bar" is the proper name for it) I'm referring to the run command that is normally located at the top of the screen and accessed via alt+F2 from the plasma desktop.

you might be better off using the available widget as it appears supported, shipped in plasma-addons (in openSUSE)

Yeah the runner will use Qalculate! if kdebase is compiled with libqalculate support enabled. Marked as Already Implemented.

Yes, I'm aware of the widget, I use it currently I was just hoping to remove the widget if I could have it already built in to krunner. Too many widgets just makes desktop clutter and slows a system down is all.
I'm having trouble compiling this on kubuntu, but no worries. I'll figure it out.
