I am not a fan of Unity... but this new idea from Ubuntu 14.04 is a great one and I would like to see it in KDE. See the announcement here:
Treviño’s Blog » Archives » Introducing Locally Integrated Menus to Unity 7 http://blog.3v1n0.net/informatica/linux ... o-unity-7/ The feature is described as, "show the menus inside the decorations themselves in horizontal mode; so, continuing to save the precious vertical space and keeping the nice look of menu-less windows unchanged." It looks really nice and it is a smart use of screen real estate: There is a somewhat less accurate discussion here: Ubuntu's ditching Unity's global menu, returning to in-app menus | PCWorld http://www.pcworld.com/article/2099903/ ... menus.html

Wow, that's great! Thanks.
How do we mark this as "done"? |

you should be able to edit the thread, eventually even to delete it.

I've moved it to "Already implemented".
Although I thought you wanted something more like this: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ti ... ent=138804 (Not sure if it works in newer versions.) I.e., the whole menu in the window titlebar, not just a button.
