System Settings > Advanced > Power Management > Edit Profiles allows several different power-setting profiles.
One default profile is the "Presentation" profile - but I cannot select how to activate/select this profile except by selecting it as a default. Users should be allowed to select the active profile in a more usable manner. I suggest creating a "Profile" menu in the right-click options for the taskbar power icon. I don't know which taskbar icon you're talking about, but you can change profiles with the battery widget. Marked as Implemented.

Great! Thanks for pointing that out! I've been using an older System Tray icon.
