It will be nice and very useful if there is a timer in the presenter view, so the presenter can keep eye on the time.

In KPresenter 2.0, this features exists, but you need to use the "Presenter View" feature, so you need to have at least 2 screens. (see http://dot.kde.org/2008/08/25/koffice-summer-code-ends)
