Here it goes:
I like the places idea but i don't want it to occupy screen space all the time. Therefore I propose to create a "Places" drop down menu that contains exactly what the places sidebar does today. /Mats |

You can open/close the places panel with the F9 key. IMHO, that's faster than a menu

No problem I use the mouse only when strictly necessary, that's why I prefer keyboard shortcuts...

You mean.. bookmarks menu, exactly the same way it works in konqueror? :-P

What kind of dropdown menu are you thinking of? Do you want the unmount options etc. in it too?

When you click the icon before the bread-crumb/address-bar, you get all the places in a menu.

Thanks for that! That was really what i wanted! That works just as having a drop down menu in the menu bar. Perhaps its time to kill this thread /Mats |
