This one is simple.

Right now, when the 'Present Windows' effect is activated if we click in a window it gets focused, if we click outside of all windows (in the background desktop) the previous window is focused.

My suggestion:

When you click outside of all windows, instead of focusing the previous window, execute the action 'Show Desktop' (i.e. minimize all windows).

Thanks,

Isn't this already implemented? E.g. by hot corner (expo effect) and clicking outside any window (at least in compiz); by clicking on current activity in activities plasmoid; show desktop plasmoid; etc

I use the openSUSE 11.1 UNSTABLE packages of KDE (it's KDE 4.3.60) and there it's possible to change the settings to do so.

- "show desktop plasmoid"
- "clicking on current activity in activities plasmoid"
Ok of course it is implemented in this one, but I was talking about "expo effect";

"by hot corner (expo effect) and clicking outside any window (at least in compiz)"
Yes, right, exactly this, but I was talking about KDE Plasma effects!

I've just tested openSUSE-KDE4-LiveCD-Build0148 and it didn't do it.
Maybe you didn't understood what I've said...

What KDE version is used there?

Sorry, only now I realised that you said KDE 4.3.60 (trunk right?) and what I tested was openSUSE 11.2 KDE4 LiveCD Build0148, which have KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 beta 2).
The openSUSE 11.2 is new, not the KDE shiped with it :)

I see it, its implemented ;)
