Hi,
in dolphin there should be by standard a menu entry to send a file as attachment per mail, independent of the uses mail program Greetz Solid |

I would prefer Dolphin not have this feature as it could be used with any program that uses files. I really don't like the idea of a context menu becoming too large.
You can already drag a file into kmail to add it as an attachment or select it from kmail itself and I feel this is enough. |

It could be added to the "actions" sub-menu easily enough without cluttering the rest of the menu, that is exactly the sort of thing the actions menu is there for.

Well actions menu would be okay, but even that isn't there at the moment...

I think there is a Dolphin/Konqueror "Service menu" doing that on kde-apps.org

I think there should be KHotNewStuff for service-menus...

I agree. I was planning on making an idea about that, but you can go ahead if you want.

I have started to implement it. (it's a bit tricky because there's no standardized format to install them, some service-menus will not be supported because they do not offer normal CLI-options like --install or --local or something like that)
But I think tomorrow there will be a version supporting a lot of service-menus from kde-apps. |

There's now KHNS-Servicemenu-support in trunk.
Most menus are not yet supported but I would mark this as "in progress". |
