Freehand drawing plasmoid

The idea is to have a plasmoid for freehand drawing

I made a mockup of how this could look if integrated into the notes plasmoid, it could of course work as a standalone plasmoid as well (maybe with more advanced options like import/export to krita)

As game designer, this can be really useful for me.
I moved away from paper as soon as I could, so I often need to open GIMP or Mypaint to sketch a quick idea or make a quick diagram. But at times it feels like overkill to open a full app just for a quick thing...so this would be extremely good to have, faster and everything.

isn't the Blackboard widget basically this as a standalone plasmoid? Might be kde4.4 only.

Not exactly as described - colors are limited and no import/export

Yes it is - marked as Pre-existing. The Blackboard widget will be shipped with KDE SC 4.4.

I'm not sure it should be considered pre-existing. Sure, blackboard works as a stand-alone widget but it doesn't allow for easy integration into other widgets - which, as I understood it, was a part of the idea at least according to the mockup. That is, blackboard only solves a part of the idea.

I interpreted it as "a standalone widget is fine as well". If this is not enough, please clarify the idea and I'll reopen it.

By the way, I like the mockup. :)

I can see the mockup made with KOffice libraries.
