In Dolphin we should have one tab above places - "Applications"

If we click on that tab, Dolphin will show icons of main categories of applications.

We can click on categories and see further categories or application icons.

We can click on the application and execute the application.

This will give easy access to applications.

You can achieve this without modifying software.

In dolphin navigate to "applications:/"

Then add this location to the places menu. You probably want to tick the box "Only show when using this application (Dolphin)"

Maybe this is worth documenting (with screenshots and adding to userbase?)

Feel free ;-) Take a look at the File_Management page - there's lots about Dolphin - and add what is missing.
