improve kfind to find words/quotes inside an .doc file

kfind just find words/quotes in openoffice and kde offices applications...

Yesterday i NEED to find some file that have an word inside it, but kfind does not able to find wich file was...i just discovered later that kfind cant search words/quotes inside another files than kde offices and openoffice.

Please, improve it to search words inside .pdf, .doc, etc files!

Strigi can search inside word files, so kfind should be able to also.

Not at all, see the note in the "help" file of the application:

"Note
this option will not work for all files listed in "File Type". Just this file types are supported:

Text files, for example source codes and README files

>KWord= 1.2
KPresenter >= 1.2
KSpread >= 1.2
OpenOffice.org Writer
OpenOffice.org Impress
OpenOffice.org Calc"

Then that website is wrong, I just tried it and it did search in them. kfind did as well when I checked the "include binary files" check box. Since it works, I am marking this as "pre-existing".

In that case, could you help me out? i check the box "include binary files" and it even like that does not find the .doc file that have an specific word i try search...

What it could be?

debian testing kde 4.3.4 kernel 2.6.32-trunk-amd64
