Can someone make a twitter plasmoid? kde-look.org doesn't have any

It's called Microblogging (4.5.1) and can be found in kdeplasma-addons.

It is not only for twitter. And is broken, requiring one to upgrade to kde 4.5 from 4.4.4

Yes it supports other services as well, but you can use it for Twitter. If there are specific Twitter features that you miss, I would suggest that you post them as new ideas.
KDE Brainstorm is primarily for software included in the KDE Software Compilation, so you would have to upgrade anyway if someone implemented this idea and made a separate Twitter plasmoid.
