3D Windows for KWin

Compiz has an effect called 3D windows, which makes the windows pop up from a virtual deskop when ann effect like the cube is activated. This would be awesome to have in KDE!

This seems to already exist for the desktop cube effect (check the box for "Windows hover above cube"). Are there any other effects where this would be useful?
