ark support for password archives

Sat Apr 16, 2011 12:53 am
i know this is an old issue with ark (since 2003) but i still think support in ark for password protected archives is a must. using file-roller in kde is too sloppy, and for those after integrated support for file-roller extracting (extract here) would have to install nautilus on kde and use that instead of dolphin, which is far sloppier.

i understand this may not be a big issue for people who are used to unpacking files from the command line, but for people new from windows this is a real problem.... even to the point that people i know asked me to install wine and winrar.

According to the bug report this is fixed in 4.6:
