In other operating systems there are markets where an user can download not only apps, but also wallpapers, songs, books and more else.
In KDE there is KPakageKit, that it will renamed "Apper", from which the user can download only apps. If the user want something else, he must open other apps, go to the right section and download what he searched. Why not develop an only application for download every things? An evolution of this concept, it's create a "Social market" where the user can write feedbacks and valuate the apps (wallpapers, songs, books). This feedbacks can be visualized from Merkato for the other final users. MpMp P.S. I'm sorry for my orrible English. |

Says it all really, KDE is no operating system. But from what I gather you are after some kind of rating. Have a look at www.kde-apps.org or www.kde-look.org, the latter of which are already integrated into KDE (perhaps the former as well, don't actually know). So I would say this has already been (partly) implemented..

I know, KDE is not a OS, I'm sorry misunderstanding I know: http://gnomefiles.org/, http://gnome-look.org/, ... My idea is to merge all into an only site. |

All of those (kde-apps, kde-look, gnomefiles, gnome-look), are sub-sites of opendesktop.org. Each of those sub-sites is merely a set of content filters and a theme. KDE's GHNS (get hot new stuff) pulls in content off of different parts of those sites. There are different dialogs for grabbing wallpapers, plasma themes, color schemes, KDM login screens, splash screens, window decorations, icon sets, plasmoids, etc.
As for feedback, in any of the GHNS dialogs you can vote up or down on the different items. In the color schemes you can even upload your own custom-made schemes right from the GHNS dialog. I don't think there is a singular app for viewing any content, installing to different locations based on content type and leaving comments, yet, but it is never too late to request one.

I think that an app like that is a good idea.
apps, wallpapers, songs, books, icons, themes... all in one app!

Social market multilanguage, where every user can contribute with description and screenshot of the applications.

This functionality is already available in GHNS, albeit spread around the desktop (which makes more sense than grouping Themes and Applications in the same listing)
