With the recent poll of KDE plasma supporting X screensavers, I thought it would be a good idea to combine both plasma wallpaper and screensavers into one.

For instance, if a user have a wallpaper slide show and locks the screen; all desktop icons would seem to disappear or go behind the wallpaper and that wallpaper becomes the screensaver.

Any KDE screensaver the user choose could move back to the background and become the wallpaper.

Could something like that be done?

Can you not select a slideshow screensaver and use the same images there as you've used in your wallpaper?
