I would like to suggest that all the application use the same set of controls. For example all the media players use controls that look alike, a standard looking play button and previous and next button. Now its like one player uses an arrow and another one used a triangle for the next track button.
Have a set of icons to use for such controls. There could be an option where the user could decide to use a customized icon as well, but the defaults be standard. |

Such icons already exist. If applications are not respecting the system-wide icon settings then that is a problem with the application that should be fixed. But KDE already does all it can do by providing standard buttons with standard names.

So any possibility of implementing it as a standard for applications in KDE. Lets say something like KDE guidelines or benchmarks.

Not only is it already a standard for KDE, KDE uses the freedesktop.org icon naming standard, which means it should be used by all KDE, GNOME, XFCE, etc applications.
