@ngraham I registered just to say THANK YOU. This behaviour bugged me for years and I couldn't count the lost hours over the years because of this. Is it new default behaviour or do I need to enable it somewhere?

I'm currently on Kubuntu 18.04. Is your patch in latest Neon? Will it get to Ubuntu 20.04 (I guess not) or Ubuntu 20.10?

Thanks again

No, this is in Plasma 5.20, which sadly was too late for the Kubuntu 20.10 release. It will be in the next (Kubuntu 21.04), unless you convince the Kubuntu devs to backport the feature.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
