File Search from the Kickoff menu

Ujjwol Registered Member Posts 136 Karma 1 OS	File Search from the Kickoff menu Mon Mar 23, 2009 3:32 am I think the kick off menu should also allow to search files...it can use a daemon to keep indexing... When we type a text for example: "Brainstrom" then if should the all result's shown now with the results for file search of brainstrom along with it..... Please make sure that the Sesame2 backend ( if available ) is installed, and that all packages are up to date. Also try removing $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/apps/nepomuk/ assuming you don't mind losing your tags. Once Strigi is functioning, it will take a small amount of time ( depends on your files, could be as little as 10 minutes ) Last edited by bcooksley on Mon Mar 23, 2009 5:13 am, edited 1 time in total.
