I think it could be useful the opportunity to know how much the free space on a plugged device is.
In this example we can see a progress bar which indicates the free space in Gb, of course it could be shown in % or something else... I've already posted this idea on kde-look

Yeah,it's a good idea!And what I think is that if we merge the "reject" button into the action menu,and make it possible to show the menu on the mouse hover like lancelot.

this will be in 4.4, but with a limitation: the capacity bar will be shown on hover, because we need to update the free space to reflect changes, but we simply can't poll the disk every, say, 300 ms. that would mean prevent the disk to sleep, and would reduce its life, more than reduce the battery for a laptop.
maybe some system based on inotify, dnotify and things like that would work, but i don't know more than that. |
