I don't know if this is possible, but it would be really nice to have a street search for OpenStreetMap view in Marble.
Thank you. |

Just type the search phrase into the search line and press *Enter*. It might take a few seconds (as Marble will query the OpenStreetMap server) but usually you should receive some street results ... |

Sounds like this feature is implemented.

Excuse for the delay.
In that box i can search cities, but not streets, or i can't see the way to do that. I think you want to say me that Marble show the street names, but i want to have a way to search, like when you search cities. Please explain me if i'm wrong. I'm using trunk. Thank you for make such a ****' good application.

It seems to work on some streets at least. I can't search for a whole street, but I can search for an address. Just not very many.

Where you search? i mean, in what box? I try searching by street, but appears a lot of streets with the same name in different cities. |

Hi,
For the street data we rely on OpenStreetMap and its OSM Server. Improving the search is definetely on our TODO. However you won't have the ability to browse the streets in a list similar to the city database anytime soon. The reason is a pure technical one: having all streets in a list would require a huge amount of data be transferred before you'd be able to search through the list. So yes, we'll have a better query for streets in the future. But it won't be implemented as a "List-All-Features" view. |
