I think it would be better if users were able to set which icons they want in the lock/logout widget, with the widget automatically organizing them for the panel size. It would probably just be a list of possibilities with check boxes for each, allowing you to set as many or as few as you want. Possible options include: lock, leave (the current two), shutdown, restart, logout, switch user, suspend to disk, suspend to ram, and screensaver (without lock).

I was just thinking about the same :D

I 98% use suspend to ram or to hdd - nor of them are in list :(

Also when in shut down dialog you get shudown and suspend actions under 1 button and to get others (suspend) you have to click on drop down menu. Its not wright

This indeed sounds like a great idea.
I too mostly put my laptop to 'sleep' and will definitely appreciate a sleep button. :)
